A homologous series of chalconitrosyls, TpOs(NE)Cl2 (E = O (2), S (3), Se (4); Tp = hydrotris(1-pyrazolyl)borate), including the 1st example of a transition metal selenonitrosyl complex, were prepared and characterized by 15N NMR and IR spectra and single crystal x-ray diffraction analyses of 2 and 4.
