The reaction mixture was heated at 120 C. overnight, concentrated by rotary evaporation, dissolved in a small amount of DCM, and purified by silica gel chromatography (0-40% ethyl acetate:hexanes) to produce the title intermediate as a white solid (3.6 g, 80% yield).
