A mixture containing (4-methylpiperazin-1-yl)(4-nitrophenyl)methanone (27) (200 mg, 0.802 mmol) and 10% Pd/C (60 mg) in 20 mL of Ethanol was shaken under H2 (60 psi) for 4 hrs.
